Welcome and Assimilation

This team creates and develops strategy to provide opportunities for new attendees to become a part of the congregation. They oversee greeters, ushers, name registrations, follow-up contacts, welcome events, Sunday lunch, phone calls. They give names to and make introductions to Sunday School teachers, small group leaders, children and youth leaders, etc. They have an interest in the inner aesthetics of the church.

A person on this team has a heart for drawing new attendees into community and fellowship with our church body. They desire to make their first impression and interaction with our church as positive one.

Some possible gifts that could help build this team:

- you are a people person. You enjoy meeting people and talking with them.
- you are willing to look for a ‘new face’ at church events and make them feel welcome.
- you would be willing to follow-up with the guests that attend our events, (phone calls, visitation, mailers, letters of encouragement)
- you plan a quarterly luncheon that would allow guests to get to know our church
- you are willing to lead a small group and develop relationships with guests through weekly bible study.
- you are willing to volunteer to be at church events simply to connect with guests that come (i.e. wrestling club, Nativity, Hallelujah night etc)
